Shhhhhhh… this is one that I’ve SELDOM told anyone, so this is our little secret ok! Want something very different to do this weekend, I know a place where wild peacocks have been known to frequent! I discovered this place totally by accident fully intending to head down a side road only to get a better view of the 18 mile stretch bridge. I turned the corner and ‘Ba Bam’ there they were on both sides of the road with the male peacock strutting his stuff in full plumage trying to impress a mate (featured photo)… but as you see in the picture below, the lady would have nothing of it! Poor dude I know how he feels, I’ve been in those type of courting rituals myself and fell victim to the same outcome… but this blogs about peacocks not me. 
If you want to enhance your chances on seeing these wild birds then head south on US-1 just over the bridge you’ll see Summerland Road on the right at Mile Marker 107.0 as you enter Key Largo.
