Sheriff’s Children’s Animal Park
Welcome to one of the strangest two-business combos in the Florida Keys!
When you think of an animal park zoo-type attraction you rarely… OK, never ever think of the law enforcement until this time. Welcome to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Children’s Animal Park! While walking around the closed fence I saw a warthogs, turtles, maybe a sheep or lamb along with wild birds in the distance. Though I was there on a Sunday morning and unable to enter, I’m sure they’re open during the week.
You can find this unlikely combo of Children’s Animal Park & Monroe County Sheriff’s Department on Stock Island Mile Marker 5.0 bayside by turning on College and driving down about 1/2 mile or so on the right.
