FREE Serene Island Views
Tranquility, peace & serenity! All can be experienced while on an island in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean looking at the next island in the distance.
Here on the abandoned island of Indian Key you can look out and see Tea Table Key so named for a tea table-shaped tree that stood on its point. Some 163 years ago the island in the distance was once the U.S. Navy’s regional headquarters headed by Lt. John McLaughlin who reportedly lived here on Indian Key. How cool is that, living on Indian Key and going to work in the morning by boat to Tea Table Key for a one mile ocean commute.
It’s truly a beautifully serene smorgasbord of sights and sounds that await your visit! Sitting upon the featured bench looking out envisioning past Florida Keys history while creating new memories. Awe, how wonderful is that!
You can find a catamaran tour boat company to take you there at Robbie’s Marina at Mile Marker 77.5 on US-1 bayside. OK, the views while on Indian Key are FREE but the trip to the island is not unless you have your own boat. (My lawyer made me say that!)
