At last: Feds nail Fort Lauderdale site for new courthouse

The U.S. Government will spend $13.5 million for 3.5 acres south of the Tarpon River. The site selection, nearly two decades in the making, is expected to trigger more commercial and residential development south of the Broward County Courthouse complex.
